The Parking Hall of Fame Nomination Guidelines

Any individual may submit a nomination.
Self-nominations are not permitted.
Posthumous nominations are accepted; in these cases, a representative or next of kin should be listed as the nominee’s contact.
Nominators must provide complete contact details and agree to be available for any follow-up clarification from The Hall of Fame Board of Trustees.

To be considered for induction, nominees should meet the following general guidelines:
A minimum of 25 years of active participation in the parking industry. In exceptional circumstances, this requirement may be waived by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees for individuals whose contributions are of such extraordinary significance that they merit immediate consideration.
Demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, or influence that has positively shaped the industry.
Upheld the highest standards of professional integrity, ethics, and respect for colleagues, organizations, and the public throughout their career.
Can be living or deceased and may represent any aspect of the parking industry (operations, planning, technology, design, education, public service, or advocacy).

Candidates must demonstrate exceptional achievement in multiple categories, with at least one being Innovation & Advancement or Industry Impact.
Contributions must show sustained excellence over time, not isolated achievements.
Impact must extend beyond a single organization and region to benefit the broader parking profession.

The Parking Hall of Fame holds its inductees to the highest ethical and professional standards. Nominees should reflect the following principles:
Honesty and Integrity in all business and professional dealings.
Respect and Fairness toward peers, employees, and the public.
Commitment to the Industry through responsible leadership and ethical decision-making.
No substantiated record of unethical conduct, discrimination, harassment, fraud, embezzlement, criminal activity or other conduct that would materially undermine the integrity of The Parking Hall of Fame or the profession.
The Board of Trustees reserves the right to verify eligibility and decline nominations that do not align with these principles.

Is there any cost to nominate? - No, there are no costs to nominate or be inducted into The Parking Hall of Fame. We operate entirely from donations from people and companies who support the mission of honoring those outstanding members of the parking industry.
Are there any membership fees to join? - No, there are no members in The Parking Hall of Fame, only inductees and volunteers.
Can I nominate parking professionals from outside North America? - Yes! There are parking professionals around the world, so The Parking Hall of Fame is open to everyone who meets the criteria from around the world.
Can I nominate myself? - No, nominations must be submitted by someone other than the nominee.
Can I nominate someone posthumously? - Yes, as long as the person nominating has permission from the next of kin or representative and provides all necessary information for the nomination application.
How many people can I nominate? - There is no limit to the number of nominations a person can submit.
Can I nominate on behalf of a company? - No, all nominations are made on behalf of a person who believes and attests that their nominee fully qualifies and meets the standards of The Parking Hall of Fame.
When is the nomination period open? - The inaugural 2026 nominations open on November 17, 2025.
If my nomination isn't inducted this year, do I have to submit again next year? - No, qualified nominations are automatically resubmitted for two more years after the initial nomination.
How will inductees be notified? - Induccees or their next of kin will be notified via a phone call and email.
When will inductees be announced? - Inductees will be announced in February 2026.
Can someone be inducted more than once? - No, someone can only be selected and inducted into The Parking Hall of Fame once.
Is there an induction ceremony? - Yes, on March 31, 2026 in Dallas, TX
