Alan Lazowski
Biography
In 1981, a college student at the University of Connecticut started parking cars at local restaurants with two friends. That summer job became a 44-year journey that would reshape the parking industry.
Alan Lazowski, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of LAZ Parking, built what is today the largest privately held parking operator in North America, managing over 2.1 million parking spaces across more than 5,300 locations in 44 states and Canada, with over $3 billion in managed revenue and more than 20,000 employees.
But Alan's impact extends well beyond just numbers. As past Chairman of the National Parking Association, he championed education, research, and advocacy across our industry. When COVID threatened to collapse the parking sector, Alan led the charge to the White House to fight for relief, while establishing a million-dollar employee relief fund at LAZ.
He is an NPA Innovator of the Year, a Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame honoree, appointed by President Obama to serve on the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Council, and a tireless community leader serving on the boards of the NAACP, the Anti-Defamation League, and Conscious Capitalism.
From valet attendant to Parking Hall of Fame member, Alan Lazowski embodies what it means to build, to lead, and to give back.
Please welcome Alan Lazowski to the Parking Hall of Fame.
